10 Types of Housing & Care for Seniors

Did you know there are over 330 senior care and housing communities in the Metropolitan Milwaukee area…offering different types of retirement or assisted living?  So how long would it take to work through this maze…learn about the differences between the communities, locations, costs, services and then also take a virtual tour of any community…months, weeks, days? Actually, all this can now be done in minutes with a state of the art program called Senior Referrals…a service provided cost free to senior adults.

It has been said that “knowledge is power”.  If you have a senior in your life, this is an opportunity for both of you to get answers to your questions before you are in a situation where time and your choices are limited.  This can lead to not receiving the level of care needed and paying more because you did not plan ahead.  Instead of researching the yellow pages and then spending weeks or days driving around to view what is available, take a few minutes now to get your questions answered.

Retirement Planning

It’s Not Just About Money

While many pre-retirees plan and calculate their financial resources to ensure an adequate nest egg to fund their retirement, almost none invest time and energy planning the nonfinancial aspects.  This interactive workshop, for those contemplating retirement, examines eight key elements that ensure that your retirement decision is not only financially viable, but emotionally and personally satisfying as well. You’ll explore such questions as “How will I spend my time when I’m no longer working full-time?”  How will my family and social relationships change?”  “What is my attitude toward the transition to retirement?”
